I don't normally watch the Grammys, but thanks to my awards show-loving boyfriend, this year I did. And boy am I glad, as I was graced with the glory now known as the HAT. Even after numerous comical comparisons (to Smokey the Bear, Woody from Toy Story, and even the Arby's sign) I still see the HAT as a thing of beauty. I have spent the better part of a day pouring over any information I can find on the 1982 Vivienne Westwood design, and the few photos I dug up on the internet will have to curb my desire until March, when the HAT will finally be available again at Vivienne Westwood boutiques. For all the haters out there, there is clearly a small faction of lovers who, thanks to Pharrell, have fallen for this archival classic that really can be worn so many ways. Damn you, Pharrell. You're too cool.
